By paying the SDF, you’re not just entering Bhutan, you’re actively contributing to Bhutan’s vision of Gross National Happiness and sustainable tourism.

These government fees are separate from your tour package price, which covers hotels, meals, guides, transportation and sightseeing. Most travellers prefer to book an all-inclusiveBhutan tour package so that Roamcrafts can collect and pay the SDF and visa fees on their behalf in one step.
Indian citizens do not need a traditional visa to visit Bhutan, but they do require an official Entry Permit and must pay the applicable SDF of INR 1,200 per person per night (children 6-11: INR 600; under 6: free).
Most foreign nationals require a Bhutan e-Visa that must be approved before travelling. The process is handled via a licensed Bhutanese tour operator or approved hotel.
Citizens of Bangladesh and Maldives are generally visa-exempt or can obtain permits instead of a paid visa, but they still pay the applicable SDF (often a reduced USD rate under current schemes). Exact fees and eligibility are confirmed at the time of booking, as concessions can be quota-based.
